Overview

ADvTECH Schools Division, South Africa’s leading private education group, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Assistant to join The Bridge School – Preparatory in Sandton.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing, play-based learning environment focused on holistic child development and school readiness.

Key Responsibilities

-Assist the teacher with all classroom activities and daily routines.

-Support learners’ development and school readiness through structured and play-based learning.

-Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organised, stimulating learning environment.

-Conduct continuous assessments and support feedback to parents through reports and meetings.

-Participate in school events, outings, and year-round activities.

-Uphold the ethos and values of The Bridge School and ADvTECH Group.

-Foster teamwork, effective communication, and collaboration among staff.

-Ensure each child’s holistic development through active involvement and creative learning.

-Support the implementation of an informal teaching style rooted in learning through play.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Matric Certificate (Grade 12).

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or similar educational environment is essential.
