Overview:
Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking a qualified and reliable Truck Driver to perform logistical tasks involving the collection and delivery of documentation, merchandise, or equipment using a company vehicle. This role also includes support tasks within the office when required.


Position Purpose:
To ensure timely and safe collection or delivery of goods, documents, and personnel while providing basic administrative assistance and maintaining proper records.


Key Responsibilities:

-Read and execute daily instructions for deliveries and collections

-Collect mail from the post office and distribute to relevant departments

-Deliver and collect documentation, equipment, and petty cash

-Maintain a delivery/collection logbook with tracking numbers

-Transport staff to regional offices when needed

-Maintain a message book to record and relay messages accurately

-Assist with office administrative tasks such as photocopying, shredding, and filing

-Prepare document bundles and maintain the printer (paper loading, toner replacement)

-Report equipment or machine faults for maintenance


Minimum Requirements:

-Matric (Senior Certificate)

-Valid South African Code 10 or 14 Driver’s Licence

-Valid Public Driver Permit (PDP)

-Minimum 1 year relevant experience as a truck driver

-Ability to read maps and operate GPS

-Basic motor fault-finding skills

-First Aid Certificate

-Relevant on-site training (SOP, HIRA, Fatigue Management)
