Overview:
The Electoral Commission is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Regional Administrative Clerk to join the Joe Gqabi Regional Office in Elundini. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialised administrative support across electoral operations, outreach, and corporate services in the region.


Position Purpose:
To perform a range of clerical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and compliant regional office operations in alignment with IEC policies and electoral mandates.


Key Responsibilities:

-Provide administrative support for electoral operations and outreach programmes

-Assist in preparing reports, documentation, and logistics for electoral events

-Maintain accurate filing systems, records, and regional databases

-Support HR, finance, and procurement processes in the regional office

-Liaise with stakeholders and respond to administrative queries

-Provide logistical and clerical support during election-related activities

-Ensure compliance with internal controls and public sector procedures


Requirements:

-Grade 12 (Matric)

-A post-school qualification in Public Administration, Office Management, or related field (advantageous)

-Minimum of 2–3 years experience in an administrative or clerical environment

-Knowledge of government administrative systems and electoral processes

-Good verbal and written communication skills

-Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)

-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

-High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
