Overview:
South African National Parks (SANParks) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Administrator: Ethics and Fraud within its Governance, Risk and Compliance Department. This position supports the promotion and monitoring of ethical conduct and the prevention of fraud across the organisation.
Position Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating ethics and fraud risk assessments, monitoring ethical conduct, administering helplines and registers, and supporting fraud awareness initiatives in line with applicable legislation and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Coordinate fraud risk assessments and monitor mitigation measures
-Administer the Whistleblowing Hotline and Ethics Helpline
-Support forensic investigations, including information collection and liaison with external providers
-Coordinate and deliver fraud and ethics awareness training and content
-Draft internal communications such as awareness articles and reports
-Act as secretariat for the Ethics Ambassadors Forum
-Maintain the gifts register and manage declarations of interest
-Process private remunerative work applications
-Assist with ethics maturity assessments
-Support quarterly ethics reporting to EXCO and relevant committees
-Monitor implementation of investigation recommendations
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Applied Ethics, Forensic Investigations, Law, Forensic Auditing, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a forensic investigation or ethics environment
- Knowledge of:
- ACFE professional standards
- Criminal law and procedure
- Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act
- Protected Disclosures Act
- Promotion of Access to Information Act
- Fraud and risk management practices
- SANParks policies and the Ethics Institute standards
